After the threat of thunderstorms put a hold on Thursdays in Pella festivities this week, next week’s event will focus on the theme of Stars and Stripes. Mary Mansfield with the PACE Alliance says a Miss Firecracker and Mr. America contest, activities with veterans and the Iowa National Guard, and more, will highlight the activities on Thursday, July 1st. She says the event will also serve as a celebration for Pella’s designation as a Home Base Iowa community. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio is broadcasting from every Thursdays in Pella this summer.
