The Knoxville Public Library is offering an opportunity for kids to explore town as part of its summer reading program. Youth Services Librarian Holly Shelford says kids can visit storefronts to find items for the opportunity to win prizes.
“One of them is called the color hunt, it’s around the square. You’ll come in and pick up your color sheet. Then you’ll go hunt around the storefronts to find the different colors of crayons. You’ll put down what color it was and what store you located it in. You turn the sheet in and get a prize for completing that passing program.”
The program continues throughout the summer. Learn more about summer reading program activities on an upcoming Let’s Talk Knoxville.
