The Indianola City Council approved a change in the city zoning map at their meeting Monday as part of their overall effort to update zoning codes and regulations to better reflect the comprehensive plan. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News city staff has been hard at work to improve city practices and ordinances for the modern world.

“As part of the comprehensive review of the zoning code, some of the zoning districts were renamed or reclassified so the zoning map is updated to reflect those changes. Like the code changes we’ve had over the past several meetings, the zoning map will have two more considerations by the council so that will be done by the end of July, the second meeting in July.”
