The Twin Cedars baseball team hosted Ankeny Christian and lost 10-0 Tuesday night, while the softball team had their game with Diagonal postponed due to rain.
The Sabers struggled on the baseball diamond, as they couldn’t get anything going at the plate and made some mistakes in the field that led to their deficit. Head Coach Mark Schroeder said the team will go back to the drawing board to figure out how to bounce back. Twin Cedars is now 12-8 on the season and 11-5 in Bluegrass Conference play.
The Twin Cedars softball contest with Diagonal was called off because of weather and at this time no make-up date has been determined. The Sabers currently sit at 23-9 on the season and 12-1 in conference play.
Twin Cedars softball hosts the No. 3 team in Class 1A tonight as Collins-Maxwell comes to town. The game begins at 7:30 p.m. The baseball team is off tonight but returns to action Thursday against Moulton-Udell.
