The Des Moines Metro Opera summer festival begins in Indianola tomorrow, bringing multiple recurring opera performances and several special shows taking place at the Blank Performing Arts Center on the Simpson College campus. The opera will be showing Sweeney Todd, The Queen of Spades, and Platée throughout the month of July, as well as a special performance by recent The Voice finalist John Holiday, and A Concert for Robert, a memorial concert honoring the life of DMMO founder, Robert L.
