Michael Braman of the Knoxville VFW was recently elected to serve as VFW of Iowa Department Commander. He says as part of his duties, he will travel to Washington, DC to advocate for legislation to benefit veterans.
“One of the main things I’ll be doing is lobbying in Congress and at the state house. I’ll be going to Washington, DC to lobby and pushing veterans’ issues. Right now a big topic is toxic exposure. I’ll be working with Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst, and our congressmen and women.”
Braman was honored for his accomplishments Saturday at the Knoxville VFW. Hear more about his recent election to this role on today’s Let’s Talk Knoxville.
