Melcher-Dallas’ softball and baseball squads came away with resounding victories over Seymour as the baseball squad won 21-1 while the softball squad won 12-2.
The Saints’ baseball squad used patience at the plate and two innings of eight or more runs to ultimately come away with the victory. Ryan Krpan finished with two doubles, three runs scored and three RBIs. Max Enfield went three for four with four RBIs in the victory. Melcher-Dallas now stands at 13-11 on the year and have now scored a combined 48 runs against Seymour this season.
The Saints’ softball squad blew out Seymour thanks to taking advantage of five Warrior errors. Riley Enfield went three for three with two doubles and four RBIs. Paetyn Anderson went one for two with a triple and two RBIs. BrieAnna Remster picked up the win on the mound, allowing just two runs on four hits with seven strikeouts. The Saints now stand at 24-8 on the season.
Both teams will be back in action today as the softball squad will complete their regular season at Diagonal while the baseball squad will battle with Ankeny Christian. The softball game will begin at 5:00 PM, while the baseball game will begin at 6:30 PM.
