The Indianola School District is holding discussions regarding a third round of funding from the federal government as part of the COVID-19 relief packages, this time for long term projects. Superintendent Art Sathoff tells KNIA News there are several options on the table, and the funds are required to be spent in certain ways.
“School districts will have up to 27 months to spend, and we will receive over $2 million, and 20% of that needs to be geared specifically towards dealing with learning loss. So we are talking about several different ideas for that, some curriculum, some staffing, some technology, there is kind of a working list that we have and we are looking at to spend those dollars.”
