A Harvey woman faces felony charges after a traffic stop in Knoxville last Thursday. Shortly after 2:00 p.m., a Knoxville officer performed a traffic stop of a Mitsubishi Eclipse for not having license plates near the intersection of West Pleasant and Harlan Streets. The officer identified the driver as 30-year-old Brittney Woodson, and collected expired insurance paperwork.
A check of the vehicle’s VIN identified it as a stolen vehicle out of Des Moines. The vehicle was towed, and Woodson was arrested. A $5,000 bond was posted. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date. Woodson is charged with Theft 2nd Degree, a Class D felony.
