A race bringing together the cross country teams of the Red Rock area will be part of Balloonfest activities this weekend. Pella Christian Cross Country Coach Mike Buchheit says the 9th annual Red Rock Balloonfest 5K returns Saturday at 8 a.m., this year moving to the Pella Sports Park. Buchheit says this year, a one mile run for kids has been added as well. Registration for the 5K is $25 for individuals and $10 per participant in the Kids’ Mile event. Proceeds from the Red Rock Balloonfest 5K are split between the Pella, Knoxville, and Pella Christian Cross Country programs. Find registration information by clicking here.
