The City of Knoxville recently received the final report from the Iowa Economic Development Authority’s downtown assessment. The assessment, completed in May, highlighted key areas in which members of the authority want to see Knoxville improve as a community. Interim City Manager Heather Ussery says one of the top priorities is getting the city’s organization’s unified in their efforts.

“The first portion we’ll want to do is, there’s several organizations that were recognized as part of the process of assessment. Getting those organizations together and identifying their purposes and missions within the community, and seeing how they can move forward together in a united front to be able to start tackling those implementations.”
