The Marion County Fair is less than a week away, beginning on Friday, July 16th. Marion County Extension Youth Coordinator Mindy Hardman says that fair-goers can expect a full fair this year, as opposed to last year.

“There was no open class. Those are back this year, so that’s exciting for the kids who are just a little too young for 4H. I know there were a lot of people who participated in the open class who missed that opportunity last year.”

Along with no open classes, most of the livestock shown was not stalled the entire fair. This year, they will return to being stalled the whole time. The Marion County Fair runs July 16th through 22nd.
