Coming into the 2A state tournament as the No. 8 seed, the Eagles will likely lean heavily on their top two offensive stars to keep their run going against the top ranked teams in Iowa — if they see pitches to hit.
Natalie Harrill carried over an All-State caliber regular season into the playoffs, and caught the attention of opposing coaches with five intentional walks. Harrill is 6-for-8 at the plate when she has had the chance to swing, with three doubles, nine runs batted in, and the pivotal home run early against Van Meter.
Emri Agre, a 2020 second-team All-State honoree, has set the table nicely in front of Harrill in three playoff games, going 9-for-13 with eight runs scored.
Pella Christian opens against No. 1 Wilton Monday at the Harlan Rogers Sports Complex in Fort Dodge in the 2021 2A State Softball Tournament. Hear coverage live on 92.1 KRLS.
