The Indianola softball team’s season came to a close Tuesday evening in the regional final against Ankeny Centennial, and with the season ending comes the graduation of a senior class of six. The six seniors led the squad in nearly every offensive category, including the top four and five of the top seven in batting average, home runs, RBI, and runs scored, and seniors Kate Kralik and Kylee Tucker pitched all but six innings for the team earning a combined 263 strikeouts and a 1.80 ERA. Head coach Stacy Evans tells KNIA Sports the seniors will be missed not only because of their presence on the field and their numbers, but how they represented themselves and the program with the work they put in. Evans also said the program is in good hands because of the example this senior class has set. The Indians ended the season with a 34-5 record.
