The Pella Community School District will spend time this fall preparing for a bond issue in the upcoming November general school elections. Superintendent Greg Ebeling says after the last measure in 2012 provided the new Lincoln Elementary, extensive renovation to Pella Middle School and Pella High School, and other smaller projects throughout the district, it’s time to consider the next round of needs at their facilities. Ebeling says the Pella School Board will make the final determination as to what is included in upcoming projects, but space restrictions at Jefferson Intermediate School, expansion of preschool offerings in a potential Early Childhood Center, and HVAC updates at Pella High School are among several priorities to consider. More discussions about the district’s facilities plan are expected in August and September.
