pleasantville-3

Pleasantville’s softball squad finished with a record below .500, but they have their conference record to be incredibly proud of.

The Trojans finished with a 15-5 record in West Central Conference play, good enough for tied for third with Earlham. Pleasantville finished behind Interstate-35 and Van Meter, both teams having two or less losses in the conference. One of the biggest highlights of the season was them knocking off Earlham when the Cardinals were No. 7 in Class 2A June 21. Pleasantville also swept all six doubleheaders they played in, beating Panorama, West Central Valley, Woodward-Granger, ACGC, Madrid, and Ogden. 12 of their wins came in doubleheaders throughout the season.

Pleasantville finished with a 17-20 record with a first-round playoff loss at Colfax-Mingo last week.
