This week’s Thursdays in Pella theme is “Made in Marion County,” with a focus on the many products made locally.

Activities begin with submissions being accepted for a LEGO building contest by 5:45 p.m., with a public vote to follow until 7 p.m. The winner in age groups six and under, 7-9, 10-14, and 15 and older will be announced before the Pella City Band performance at 8 p.m.

Hands-on STEM projects, an Energy Bike, and several booths highlighting local businesses, manufacturers, Pella Regional Health Center, City of Pella departments, and more will be featured throughout Central Park. Triumph Martial Arts will have demonstrations on the Tulip Toren at 6:15 p.m, followed by STEM games on stage at 7 p.m.
