For the fifth straight year, the Central College men’s tennis squad was given the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team Award. Six Central players were also named to the ITA Scholar-Athletes. The Dutch posted a 3.35 combined team grade point average. To receive the ITA distinction, teams must carry a combined GPA of 3.20 or higher. It’s the ninth time the Dutch have received the award since 2005.
Graduated senior William Isiminger was honored for the fourth time. Tanner Finken and Joe Roberts were honored for the third time. Sophomores Nash Christian and Michael Turnley earned the honor for the second time and freshman Lucas Vroom was a first-time honoree.
ITA Scholar-Athletes must post a 3.50 or higher GPA for the year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form. Nationwide, 111 Division III men’s teams 772 individuals were honored.
