The Indianola Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Cappel’s Ace Hardware Friday morning, celebrating their one-year anniversary in Indianola. Owner Doug Cappel tells KNIA News this celebration has been a long time coming since they opened during a pandemic, and the response from the area has been amazing.

“We were so excited about the opportunity to come to Indianola. The roots of our company are based from a small town in Atlantic where my grandfather started his business back in the 1940’s. So we really enjoy and embrace the whole idea of small town Iowa and the response has been fantastic from the community.”

The ribbon cutting ceremony marks the end of a busy week for the chamber, with three ribbon cuttings in the past five days and and ninth of the last month.
