The Norwalk baseball team now knows who it will face in Wednesday’s Class 4A Substate 8 final, as the Warriors will host Waukee for the right to go to state. Top-seeded Norwalk earned a bye to the final with a first round win over Council Bluffs Jefferson, while #2-seed Waukee defeated #3-seed Council Bluffs Lewis Central 14-4 in six innings Monday night in the semifinal. Waukee defeated Norwalk 3-0 when the teams met in Waukee July 8th, and Norwalk senior pitcher Evan Borst says his team will have a better mindset about this matchup.

First pitch Wednesday night is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Norwalk. Pregame coverage begins at 6:45 on KNIA3 with Jon Mohwinkle and Michael Borst calling the action.
