pleasantville-3

Pleasantville’s baseball squad will have a chance to advance to the state tournament as they take on the Centerville Big Reds in the Class 2A substate final in Indianola tonight.

The Trojans are currently riding a five-game winning streak including winning their last three playoff games. Pleasantville started their playoff run by outplaying PCM in the first round. The substate quarterfinal saw the Trojans upset West Central Conference foe Des Moines Christian thanks to a shutdown performance from Austin McMillin on the mound. Last game, Pleasantville came back from being down two runs to knock off West Marshall in the Trojan War. These two teams last played in 2016, which was a 5-4 victory for Pleasantville.

The game will begin at Indianola High School tonight at 7:00 PM.
