
The Knoxville Softball Squad was used to the long ball this season. The Panthers ripped 21 home runs led by Ashlyn Finarty’s eight.
Brittany Bacorn, whose bombs mainly went to left field, was tied for 2nd on the team with Ciara Heffron with four, Melanie Sullivan three dingers, while Emma Dunkin blasted two. Finarty is 11th in class 3A with homers which is not complete until the State Softball Tournament is finished this week, and as a team Knoxville’s 21 home runs ranks 12th. The Panthers finished the season in the class 3A regional semi-finals and had a 22-9 record.
