Melcher-Dallas softball highlighted two particular underclassmen that ended up being first-team all-conference.
The first was BrieAnna Remster, who became the Saints’ best pitcher, who went 25-7 with a 1.28 ERA, and only allowed a .182 batting average throughout the season. Remster also became a force at the plate, hitting .439 with seven home runs and 42 RBIs. The seven home runs led the team and she was one of three Saints to have 40 or more RBIs. The second underclassman was Paetyn Anderson, who became a good all-around player as she had an .875 fielding percentage and a .347 batting average. Anderson led the team in triples with five and had three home runs with 32 RBIs.
Melcher-Dallas finished the season with 27 wins on the season, tying a school record.
