The first annual National Balloon Classic Sky Parade took place over the downtown Indianola square Thursday evening, with local shops and restaurants providing deals and merchandise for attendees. Over a dozen balloons were launched with hundreds flooding the square throughout the evening, with the event serving as an unofficial kickoff for the upcoming National Balloon Classic event taking place July 30th through August 7th.
