With Pleasantville’s top four hitters graduating, hitting will be an area of improvement for key players in 2022.

Amber McKinney, Josie Sowers, Faith Vanderhart and Josie Sowers all hit .398 or above for the Trojans in 2021. The next highest batting average for a Trojan was Amber’s youngest sister Mallory at .384. Pleasantville will also be looking for power as 11 of Pleasantville’s 16 home runs will no longer be on the roster. Coach Jan Haugen will be looking for underclassmen Sydney Septer and Leah Adreon to step up and play an increased role for his team.

Haugen also states that it will be difficult to find pitching next season with Vanderhart graduating. Pleasantville finished 17-20 overall and 15-5 in the West Central Conference.
