The Indianola School Board held a public hearing on and reviewed the district’s internet safety policies at their meeting Monday, Superintendent Art Sathoff tells KNIA News it is an ever evolving policy as new information continues to pour in year after year, but he feels the district has been on top of this area.

“I think people feel good about the safeguards we have in place. It’s necessary to go through this process because there is something called E-Rate which is federal funding that helps pay for internet and some technology hardware which we definitely benefit from. The public hearing was just to really dot the I’s and cross the T’s, but there was a lot of good discussion regarding internet safety.”
