Cody Boender ended up breaking a Kacmarynski record for most solo tackles in a season, as the senior finished with 85. His 102 ½ tackles ranked as the most in 1A heading into the state quarterfinals.
After receiving 2nd team All-State recognition on the Class 1A defensive line last year, Mulder was a repeat recipient of the award in 2020, while Boender joined him as a second team linebacker this winter. Luke is heading to Minnesota State this fall to continue his football career, while Cody joins the rising Dordt football program.
Pella Christian finished the 2020 season with a 6-4 record and their 13th consecutive playoff appearance.
