Counting down the top 10 sports stories of the year for Simpson College with #9.The Simpson College women’s swimming and diving team picked up a win in their first meet of the season, their only home meet, and senior night for four swimmers. The Storm picked up an 84-53 over the Flames of the College of Saint Mary, while honoring the senior quartet of Katie Cardoza, Madison DePover, Angela Eppens, and Sarah Prendergast. The Storm got second place finishes from DePover in the 1000 Freestyle, Cardoza in the 500 Freestyle, and a second place finish in the 200 Freestyle Relay that included DePover and Prendergast. The meet was also the last home meet for retired Storm Swimming and Diving Coach Tom Caccia.
