The #8 sports story of the school year at Central was a quality finish for the men’s golf team at the American Rivers Conference Championships in Iowa City. Freshman Harold Dobernecker earned all-conference honors by placing eighth with a 309. Matt Briggs and Lucas Wendel also placed in the top 15. Head Coach Mel Blasi was proud of his team’s resiliency in adverse weather conditions, fighting back for a third place finish.
The conference meet ended up being the final meet of the school year for the Central men’s golf team.
