Heather Ussery has been named the new Knoxville City Manager, Mayor Brian Hatch announced Tuesday evening. Hatch tells KNIA/KRLS News that the city is fortunate to have such a qualified and impressive group of candidates. After serving in the interim position for the last seven months, city staff are excited to now have Heather lead our community into the future.
Ussery has served in numerous roles for the city. She was previously the Assistant City Manager, and has served in the interim role as City Manager since Aaron Adams’ departure in January.
