The #7 sports story of the school year at Central was a wild volleyball contest in Indianola, as the Dutch picked up a five-set win over Simpson in the second game of the modified spring season. Trailing twice, Central rallied for a 12-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-22, 15-9 win.

Kayleigh Fite and outside hitter Krissa Larson tied for a team-high 14 kills and outside hitter Natalie Gaszynski added 12 more. Fite had a double-double with an additional 14 digs.

Landry Luhring had a team-high 33 digs. Setter Amanda Smith got her first start after joining the team from basketball and recorded a double-double with 45 assists and 14 digs. Hallie Uhlig had a team-high four blocks with Fite and middle hitter Elyse Johnson recorded three apiece.

It was Central’s first win of the season. They finished 4-4.
