The Top 10 countdown of moments on Eagle Lane moves to No. 7 and another special spring on the tennis courts. The Tulip City girls tennis matchup rematch was extremely close in nature on May 22nd, with a state qualifying bid on the line. Kelly Van Wyk, Katy Roose, and Sydney Van Arendonk of Pella Christian all earned tiebreaker victories in the singles matches and the duo of Megan Kramer and Van Wyk — both state bound in the doubles tournament, clinching victory with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Alloree Else and Emily Blom. Katy Roose also qualified for the individual state bracket prior to the team earning a quarterfinals bid. This was the second consecutive season the Eagles girls tennis team has advanced to the final eight. Pella Christian fell to No. 3 Fairfield in their final team match of the spring on May 24th.
