We conclude our first week of the top ten sports moments countdown for Knoxville with the 6th moment of the 2020/21 school year. During the 2019/2020 Knoxville girls basketball season…Maggie Wilkins broke through the 1,000 point barrier, and this past season, she made sure to stamp her legacy on the program by becoming just the third Panther to surpass the 1500 point mark in the five-on-five era when she eclipsed that barrier on February 8th against Martensdale St. Mary’s.

Wilkins finished as second leading all time scorer with 1,568 points and the Panthers compiled a 65-25 record in her four years as a varsity player. Wilkins will continue her basketball career this winter at Wartburg. The top ten countdown for Knoxville with moments #5-#1 will continue on Monday.
