Perhaps the biggest question for Pleasantville’s softball team will be their pitching in 2022 with Faith Vanderhart graduating.
Outside of Vanderhart, the only Trojan that started games consistently inside the circle was freshman Carly Cox. Cox started 13 games for Pleasantville, operating as a ground ball and fly ball pitcher. Cox finished 5-6 with a 7.13 ERA in 15 games and 52 innings for the Trojans. The only pitcher to start a game was Kristen Roe, who went just two innings. Other Trojans that pitched during the season were Kyleigh McConnell and Jaden Tibben. Cox, McConnell, and Roe also combined to go four for 13 at the plate.
Pleasantville finished 17-20 with a 15-5 West Central Conference record and a first-round playoff loss to Colfax-Mingo.
