The Pella School Board is coming together Monday, but not for a formal session. Instead, a notice was issued by the district that a quorum would be met as board members were invited to a Bond Issue Support Committee meeting at Pella High School.

The district is garnering support for a ballot measure in November for the next round of improvements and the first round of new construction since the last bond issue vote passed in 2013 with 75% support. That special election allowed the district to make approximately $30 million in improvements, including construction of the new Lincoln Elementary facility and Career Academy of Pella, as well as significant renovations to Pella Middle School and Pella High School.

This upcoming Pella School District measure is expected to be on the November 2nd general election ballot and include resources to build a new Early Childhood Facility, renovate and expand Jefferson Intermediate School, upgrade HVAC systems at Pella High School, and provide athletic facility updates, including resurfacing of the track and turf football field.
