Two county road improvement projects will soon take place in Marion County. Engineer Tyler Christian says these projects involve roads near Pella and Pleasantville.

“We have a safety grant project. We were awarded half a million dollars to pave the shoulders on Highway T14 north of Pella. That project will be beginning here in the next couple weeks. The other major project will be 40th north of Pleasantville. There’s a section of full depth pavement removal and replacement there as well as an asphalt overlay, at which point we will get rid of the bump at the railroad tracks.”
