Several resolutions discussed at July Pella City Council meetings will be considered with formal action this evening.

Council will determine the necessity and set a public hearing on a proposed urban renewal plan for the Prairie Ridge commercial area, a cost-sharing agreement for southwest sanitary sewer improvements, engineering services agreements for that project and a turn lane for West Washington Street and Fifield Road, a contract amendment for hotel-motel tax revenues with the Pella Convention and Visitors Bureau, and approval of additions to Wonder Spelen and the miracle playground at Kiwanis Park.

A pair of public hearings for ordinances to amend planned unit development zoning agreements for the Prairie Ridge and South Main developments are also on the agenda. A Policy and Planning session will be held to discuss a request from an elected official regarding local streets, specifically, to review local gravel roads in the city limits and discuss the timeframes in
which they will be upgraded to either a hard surface or an urban paved street.

The Pella City Council meeting begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Pella Public Safety Complex and can also be viewed online: https://join.me/CityofPella
