The second “Earth Sweep” will be held in Knoxville on Sunday, August 15th. Organizer Cullie Provenzano says this is to clean up after the race fans leave town and to promote awareness for living a clean life.

“We want people to come together and clean up our community, to keep it nice and tidy after everyone’s been in town and having a good time. I would love for it to spread out further and further, for people to be aware.”

No sign-up is required. Those interested in helping out will meet at the courthouse gazebo at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 15th. Instructions and materials will be provided.
