The PCM Football team went undefeated during the regular season in 2020, and made a run to the UNI Dome. 

The Mustangs will look to duplicate that success in 2021.

PCM will play just two teams this season that finished above .500 in 2020. Pella Christian is the third game on the PCM schedule, and they went 6-4 in Class 1A last season and qualified for the 1A state playoffs. PCM’s other matchup with an above .500 team is their sixth game which is a rematch of last season’s Class 2A quarterfinal game against West Marshall. PCM won that contest 21-20. The rest of the schedule is favorable for the Mustangs as they will play matchups with Newton, Chariton, and Roland-Story, who all went winless a season ago. The remaining three games are against Davis County, Iowa Falls-Alden, and Albia. Iowa Falls-Alden won four games in 2020, while Davis County and Albia won three apiece.

PCM will have a couple tests this season, but have a favorable schedule to repeat the success they saw in 2020 that ended in a Final Four run. Hear the PCM Mustangs football team every week on the KRLS3 stream at KNIAKRLS.com.
