With the fall sports season on the horizon, Pleasantville High School will have two projects going on during the upcoming school year.

The first project will be that the football stadium will begin renovations in October towards the end of the football season. The renovations will last throughout the school year and are scheduled to be completed by August 2022. Athletic Director Joel Allman states that the football stadium will mirror the gym, baseball and softball fields that were just renovated this past school year.

Allman also states that Pleasantville will be introducing the school’s inaugural Hall of Fame class this school year. The inductees for the inaugural hall of fame class will be Gladys Black, Midge Brooks, Earl Wagner, Verle McGraw, Lloyd Thurnburg, Chris McCullough, Chelsea Thomas, and the 1954 state championship track and field team.

With some sense of normalcy returning, Pleasantville is excited and ready for the 2021-22 school year to begin.
