The Indianola School Board approved the Special Education Delivery Plan for the district at their meeting Monday, a plan that is required to be updated at least every five years. Superintendent Art Sathoff tells KNIA News the label of special education is very broad, varying from medical support or learning disabilities, and one of the most important areas the district has tried to stay consistent on is having the right staff in place.
“Having a good continuum of services of a variety of programs and the right licensure and expertise in those areas, is a really important part of our plan and a way to be able to serve our students well. That’s just one part of our continuum of services that was approved.”
