Traffic on State Highway 92 in eastern Marion County and western Mahaska County will be detoured beginning today. The Iowa DOT is replacing the bridge over Muchakinock Creek near Oskaloosa. Traffic will be routed onto Marion County Highway T17 and State Highway 163. Local traffic will be permitted on Highway 92.

The project is expected to last approximately 21 days. The Iowa DOT and Marion County Road Department remind motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones.
