There were a lot of reasons why the Knoxville Football Squad struggled last season. One of the main reasons was the Panthers were forced to deal with a rash of injuries to key members of the squad, and depth was also an issue. This season, Knoxville hopes to stay healthy however as Coach Eric Kellar tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, depth will still be a problem.
The Panthers will have to replace a large portion of their offense with the departures of quarterback Kieren Nichols and receiver Mike Hudson. Kellar says Noah Keefer will be the starter in week one and he is looking at a few receivers to fill the void left by Hudson’s 27 receptions and 353 yards. Knoxville will host Newton in week one.
