After a run to the class 3A regional final last fall, the Knoxville Volleyball Squad will try to duplicate that feat, and even get one step farther. However, to do that, the Panthers not only will have to deal with class 4A competition in the regional, but have a somewhat different makeup of the team from last season after six seniors departed the program. Coach Mollie Keitges will have one of the better players in the area in sophomore Brittany Bacorn, who led the Panthers in kills last season with 250, however, she is also looking for a setter after the graduation of Marley McKay. Keitges tells KNIA/KRLS Sports it is to be determined how she will use Bacorn as a setter, hitter or both.

Along with Bacorn, Abby Wadle and Charlee Heffron will return to play front row while Emma Dunkin is one of many servers that Keitges says may be a strong area for the Panthers. Knoxville will get its season underway August 23rd in a quad meet at Carlisle.
