The Melcher-Dallas Football Squad will rely on six players to provide leadership and give the Saints a chance each week. Coach Pat Ferguson tells KNIA Sports his three seniors will be Cole Metz at linebacker, Tony Schneider at guard and end, and Scotty Johnson at defensive end while juniors Logan Godfrey at quarterback, Max Enfield at defensive end, and Lucas Harrington on the defensive line. That said with just 17 players on the roster, he cannot afford to have kids out due to injury and other reasons.

Godfrey will be new to the quarterback position this season after only attempting one pass in 2020. Ferguson adds there may be some freshman and sophomores to win varsity spots.
