With the 2021 season beginning soon, Pleasantville’s Cross Country squad will look to compete in one of the tougher conferences in the state.

The Trojans will be playing in a stacked West Central Conference with talent on both the girls and boys sides. The top half of the conference consists of Van Meter, Des Moines Christian, ACGC, Madrid, and Panorama. The Van Meter Girls made the state tournament last year, while the Madrid boys are a dark horse to win the conference. Coach Aaron Fichter knows that it will be a tall task going up against a stacked West Central Conference.

Fichter also states that he is looking forward to competing against tough opponents PCM and Pekin in their first meet of the season, which is Monday at Pine Knolls Golf Course in Knoxville.
