The Norwalk football team begins its season this Friday, and its defense will look to continue the steady improvement it saw throughout last season. A key piece will be junior defensive lineman Maddux Borcherding-Johnson, who announced his commitment to the Iowa Hawkeyes earlier this summer. Head Coach Paul Patterson expects him to be elite, and hopes to fill out the rest of that position group soon.
Borcherding-Johnson was third on the team in tackles last season, with a breakout performance in the final game at Lewis Central. The season begins Friday at home against Pella.
