The Pella Christian volleyball team is set to begin the season with first year head coach Tammi Wight one week from today, and a solid core of returners is helping Wight prepare for the upcoming season.

The Eagles have four key members returning to the varsity squad, each of which brings a unique skill set that has Coach Wight excited about the upcoming season.

“We are so lucky to have four seniors and they are a solid core. Sarah Gritters, Sarah is our biggest, probably best hitter. We have Trinity Vos, one of our middles, and she also is just a wall, she’s just a blocking machine. Then there’s our libero Natalie Harrill, who’s coming off of state softball, she is just solid all around. She is a great platform player. And then Lydia Zylstra, also a backrow player, she’s just a solid platform and she’ll be great in serve receive.”

The Eagles core four will be in action next week at Bondurant-Farrar for a tournament on Saturday, August 28th.
