The Pella Public Works Department has announced additional closures for road reconstruction.

As part of a major gravel conversion project, 218th Avenue will be closed to all thru traffic just north of 926 218th Avenue while work continues on stage 4. During this stage all the Shady Brook area and 926 218th Avenue will use the detour route from south of Pella using Clark Street / Highway T17 to Illinois Drive to 218th Avenue to access everything south of 926 218th Avenue. All of those on Neil Drive will have access directly from Idaho Drive. This stage of the project may take approximately 5 to 6 weeks.

To accommodate road reconstruction near the new Lely Park, 250th Avenue, from just south of the Highway 163 ramps to Illinois Street, will be closed to all through traffic for road reconstruction. This closure will begin Monday, August 23rd, and is expected to last approximately 6 weeks.
