Pleasantville’s cross country team will now have a full week to prepare for their first meet of the season as their season-opening meet in Knoxville was cancelled due to extreme heat.
The Trojans will now have a full week until their first meet, which will be September 2 at Wayne. Pleasantville will be competing with 16 teams in their first major meet of the season. The Trojans will be the only West Central Conference team that will be competing, but other teams competing include Southeast Warren, Chariton, and Lamoni. With excessive heat in the forecast for the next week, it will be a hard week of practice for the Trojans to prepare for their first meet.
Pleasantville’s meet at Wayne September 2 will be at 5:00 PM.
